Any healthcare professional involved in cardiovascular or pulmonary rehabilitation in Indiana is welcome to join. This includes registered nurses, exercise physiologists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, physicians, and program administrators.
Annual membership is $50.00 per year (USD). This fee provides access to the annual statewide conference, member newsletters, the document library, reimbursement toolkits, and a voice in Indiana's rehabilitation community.
Membership renewals are processed through the ISCVPR website. Visit the Become a Member page to complete payment. Renewals are due annually and members receive reminder notices via email.
Members enjoy discounted registration for the annual conference, access to the member resource library including newsletters and toolkits, networking opportunities with Indiana rehabilitation professionals, and the ability to serve on the board or committees.
ISCVPR primarily serves Indiana-based professionals, but out-of-state professionals with an interest in Indiana's rehabilitation community are welcome to contact the board at boardiscvpr@gmail.com to discuss associate membership options.

Cardiac rehabilitation is a medically supervised program that helps patients recover from heart attacks, heart failure, angioplasty, or heart surgery. It combines exercise training, heart-healthy living education, and support to help patients return to an active life and reduce the risk of future cardiac events.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a broad therapeutic program for patients with chronic lung disease such as COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, or asthma. It includes exercise training, breathing techniques, nutritional counseling, and education to help patients breathe easier and improve quality of life.

ISCVPR promotes the guidelines established by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). These evidence-based guidelines cover program standards, patient outcomes, and best practices. Our resources page links to the latest AACVPR publications and toolkits.
Medicare, Medicaid, and many private insurance plans cover cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation for qualifying diagnoses. Coverage details vary by payer. ISCVPR provides a Pulmonary Rehab Reimbursement Toolkit and reimbursement updates to help programs navigate billing and compliance.
The ISCVPR newsletter is available to members on the newsletter page. It features updates on events, clinical news, reimbursement information, and member spotlights. Archives of past issues are also available.

Some resources such as the program directory and publicly linked documents are accessible to all visitors. However, the full member document library, newsletters archive, and member-only tools require an active ISCVPR membership.

Board of Directors meetings are held several times per year. The 2025–2026 schedule includes meetings on August 7, November 6, January 8 (virtual), and February 5. Most in-person meetings are held at the Irsay YMCA at City Way, 430 S Alabama St, Indianapolis. All members are welcome to attend — contact any board member for details.
Interested members can download the ISCVPR Board of Directors Service Application (PDF), complete it, and submit it to the board email. Serving on the board is an excellent way to shape the future of rehabilitation in Indiana.
Yes. ISCVPR is the Indiana state affiliate of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). We align our programs and guidelines with AACVPR standards and represent Indiana's rehabilitation professionals at the national level.
